Description: The second breakwater of Salina Cruz, was part of a project from 1980 wich not conclude and It started again at the present time. It is a breakwater wich streach along 1.6 Km offshore filling from a deph of 24 m ande emerging another 4 m from the zero of the port. A large part of this breawater is carried out from the sea with split hopper barge opening per bay, by a computer program of discharges in real time, supported by a satellite system and RTK wich gives a very high precision to each discharge. Our Naval Segundo vessel is one of the split hopper barge that execute the maritime part.
